What Will We Be Discussing?
In 2006 the EMSCC released a White Paper titled “The Future of EMS in Canada: Defining the New Road Ahead”. In that paper were six key strategic directions that would enable positive and controlled movement toward EMS being at the centre of the community, providing primary health care in a mobile setting. This presentation explains the strategy to define and embrace a clear core identity in terms of branding the name “paramedic”.
Who Will Be Speaking?
Michael Nolan is the President of the EMSCC. Chief Nolan co-authored the Emergency Medical Services Chiefs of Canada’s White Paper and is currently leading a very successful national Emergency Medical Services branding initiative. He represents Canadian Emergency Medical Services on many national and international committees related to policy development, research, interoperability and emergency management, Chief Nolan’s efforts contribute to advancing and aligning Emergency Medical Services leadership in Canada.
