Member Benefits
Why become a PCC member?
Paramedicine in Canada is undergoing perhaps the most significant change in the history of the profession.
This change includes:
- the creation and evolution of community paramedic programs
- the development of self-regulating professional colleges
- a rapid advancement in the quality, depth, and breadth of education and research, including a move to baccalaureate degrees
- a focus on supporting the mental health and resilience of our staff
- consistent challenges with off-load delay
- significant operational pressures associated with increasing call volumes
- demands for new models of mobile integrated health care
- the impacts of the opioid overdose crisis
This significant change requires leaders who are innovative, creative, bold, and connected to a network of peers across the country – this is what the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada provides.
