Please find attached a letter of support on behalf of the PCC regarding Bill S-233 – an Act to amend the Criminal Code (assault against persons who provide health services and first responders).
The bill has had one reading at the Senate, and we are working with our advocacy firm Summa strategies to appear before the committee itself and/or to provide consultation from an operations and systems perspective.
We will keep you up to date on any response and proposed next steps.
