Kevin Smith is a retired paramedic executive most recently from British Columbia Emergency Health Services (2022-25) and previously as Chief of Niagara Emergency Medical Services (2013-22). Serving over 34 years, Kevin started his career as a paramedic in Niagara, Ontario after graduating from Niagara College in 1992 and going on to receive his Advanced Care Paramedic designation from the Michener Institute, Toronto in 1998. Receiving his Bachelors of Applied Business in Emergency Services degree in 2010, Kevin has worked through various executive leadership roles until his retirement in October 2025.
Kevin continues to help advance paramedicine in Canada through his continued active involvement with the PCC as Past President, and also provides independent advisory services to organizations working to advance paramedic systems.
