Kimberley is the Deputy Chief of Technical Operations for Yukon Emergency Medical Services (YEMS), where she provides strategic leadership across several critical portfolios including Clinical Education, Fleet and Logistics, Special Operations Teams, and the Emergency Response Coordination Centre. She previously held the position of Commander of Clinical Education, leading the development and delivery of advanced clinical training and endorsement processes for Yukon paramedics and nurses.
The majority of her paramedic career was spent in her home state of Queensland, Australia where she served the community in both rural, coastal and metropolitan settings. She gained valuable clinical experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic throughout these years and further developed her leadership skills in other roles including Officer in Charge, Operations Supervisor and Clinical Support Officer.
With over 17 years of frontline and leadership experience in Canada and Australia, Kimberley brings a depth of knowledge in paramedicine, operations management, and education. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Specialist Paramedic Practice (Intensive Care) from Monash University which supplements her Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedicine) degree from Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
A passion for patient centred care and contemporary clinical standard is what drives Kimberley to achieve in her professional role. She personally strives to set a good example for her two young children by maintaining a good work-life balance, commitment to family, friends and her profession, and upholding her integrity and compassion throughout.
